WHY RAPE HAPPENS | TEACHINGS OF THE BHAGAVAD GITA

Rapes: Rapists have NO RELIGION | ‘Lust’ in The Bhagavad Gita

The main teaching of the Bhagavad Geeta is that we all human beings are bound to this mortal world by the 5 vices of lust, anger, greed, attachment & ego.

It then shocks me when someone writes on the social media that rapes happen because of a certain specific religion only.

Now, if you’ve known me, you would know that I am born in Hinduism while also having the exposure of many religions around me.

One thing that I am pretty sure of is that ALL MEN HAVE THE VICE OF LUST IN THEM. Well, women, also have. All Human Beings have. But here I mentioned men because we are talking about rapes of women here…majority rapes around the world are done to women by men. [ I will find the statistics somewhere and put it up]

Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 3, Verse 37:
Sri Krishna teaches his disciple Arjuna ~

Sanskrit:

काम एष क्रोध एष रजोगुणसमुद्भवः। महाशनो महापाप्मा विद्ध्येनमिह वैरिणम्।।

“Desire and anger, born of the mode of passion, are insatiable enemies, O son of Kunti, and they devour everything. Lust (kaam) and anger (krodh) are like fire that cannot be easily quenched.”

Shloka 40, Chapter 3 of the Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna says,

Sanskrit:

इन्द्रियाणि मनो बुद्धिरस्याधिष्ठानमुच्यते। एतैर्विमोहयत्येष ज्ञानमावृत्य देहिनम्।।

English Translation:

“The senses, mind, and intellect are said to be the seat of desire. Through these, it deludes the embodied soul by veiling its wisdom.”

The Bhagavad Gita thus teaches that the 5 vices such as lust, greed and anger deludes the soul of its wisdom and thus keeps it in this cycle of birth and death forever.

I find it preposterous when people attribute a specific religion to rapes.

This behavior tells us of five things-

  1. Men of some religions (who are actually culprits/ rapists) are simply hiding their faces behind the men of the other religion that they are holding responsible for all the sins and the rapes in the world.
  2. It also tells us that the people who say such things have actually never read their own Holy Books because all Holy Books talk about these 5 vices. Because the men of Lust appear in ALL THE RELIGIONS.
  3. Hinduism: Remember ‘Duryodhana’ (a Hindu) in Mahabharat who tried to disrobe ‘Draupadi’, the daughter-in-law of the kingdom. We do have Prashant Bhushan (minister in BJP) also (in present times) who has cases of sexual assaults on him.
  4. Christianity: There have been many Christians and even Priests held responsible for rapes of women. You know about the Bishop Franko Mullacal’s case ? Read this article about the same.
  5. Islam: And so many Muslim men held as rapists in prisons. Ansari’s case. Read this article of rape by a Muslim man.

But saying that men from only a specific religion are only responsible for rapes, is absolutely ridiculous. One of the worst cases of violence & assault that happened in India, the Bilkis Bano case, is also a proof.

I looked at the list of culprits on the government’s website (will update soon) and found out that the list included Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, Christians and many more.

Clearly, Rape has no Religion. The proofs speak for itself. You may Google more cases.

Holy Books that mention the 5 vices –

The Bhagavad Geeta does (Hinduism)
The Bible does (Christianity)
Tripiṭaka does (Buddhism)
and literally 99% religions talk about lust being a hindrance on one’s divine path.
Whether men follow their holy books or not, is an all together different debate.

I am very disturbed because nowadays many people of my religion (Hinduism) are talking about how other religions are responsible for all rapes.

Hinduism, which in truth, I consider is the most scientific religion of all, is therefore, not presenting itself well to the world, thanks to the efforts of the gangsters and their IT team calling themselves Hindus when they actually have never opened the Bhagavad Geeta or read about the 5 vices in every Human Being. They are NOT HINDUS, really.

Real HINDUS who have realized god in every speck of this world and found him to be Nir-aakar (formless) and Sarva-vyapi (everywhere and in every living being), would never target or hurt any number of human beings based on the karma of some specific humans of that religion.

How would you feel, if all the innocent people of your religion are held responsible for the actions of some rapists from your religion? Won’t you feel cheated?

Sadly, the social media is being controlled by a wannabe dictator, whose IT team is spreading the evil in India.

The youth, mostly affected by the social media, are simply following what they are being shown.

Because today’s Indian youth (our generation) are not readers really. So most of them have never even opened the Bhagavad Geeta. Then they would fight about ‘Dharma’ without even reading and understanding that the Geeta never stated Dharma as ‘religion’ ever! Nor did the, Mahabharat taught us that.

The political gangsters are well aware of this and they are exploiting this ignorance of the youth while also instigating hate in them towards the other religions.

Nowadays you can very well check out the comment section on Instagram in India, and know how the Hindus are getting instigated by every other video and getting angry & sad over how that video is not respecting Hinduism.

While in truth, if one googles ‘Jesus jokes’ on the internet, one may find millions of them. I do not support mocking any Saint that has appeared in any religion, but I also do not support people becoming so much sensitive about every other thing that even when they see a meme on a crow, they start connecting religion to it…this is the highest level of ignorance.

The Indian dictator and his politicians have been successful in messing with the minds of Indian youth so much that these young people have started finding religion in animals too.

I really wish that people from other countries, outside of India may somehow (because they can) spread the light of awakening amongst Indians about how ‘we are all just human beings’ and ‘not religious beings’.

I say people from other countries because I hope you know that the freedom of writers in India is in grave danger.

I pray that India (and therefore all nations; because you won’t be able to stop this rolling effect later on) may see NO DICTATOR and may the wannabe dictator falls much before the elections happen.

Remember, nothing happens without doing any KARMA / taking action.

And as the Bhagavad Geeta teaches us,

‘Karma Is Supreme’.
