SUCCESS THROUGH A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE
This Blog will help you with understanding how to remove negative thoughts and build a positive life.
I am going to share with you the 5 actionable steps below with resources and the ways to implement these steps.
These steps can be used to direct one’s own feelings or even to direct a child’s emotions and attitude in the desired direction.
SOLUTION 1: THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING
The first solution how to avoiding negative thoughts or feelings is to
THINK OF THE OPPOSITE EMOTION.
So if your child has feelings of anger, make your child think of or watch movies/ series on the topic of LOVE. Slowly he will start developing feelings of love.
I learned about this method by hit and trial in order to control my own emotions when I was a youngling.
It really works. It takes time. But I guess that even developing habits take time. So how can we expect to direct our negative feelings in a positive direction in a matter of a few hours or a day?
Give it time. Practice. Slowly, you will see the change.
Let me give you another example.
If your child has feelings of harshness, make him think of mercy by showing heroes or movies that teach mercy.
and If the feelings of jealousy persist, one must read, watch and understand magnanimity and nobility.
In case the attribute of timidness is there, show him pictures of a Lion, make him roar like a lion, and make him see movies of superheroes and that of the courage of the warriors.
Such a child will grow up into a courageous man even if he is not courageous in childhood. Have patience and understand that change takes time.
A movie that is teaching exactly the same is the Disney movie, The Lion King. In this movie, the cub (Simba) was destined to sit on the throne of the jungle after his father, The Lion King (Mufasa) was murdered by their uncle Lion (Scar).
After the passing away of his father, Simba did not have the courage to take his throne which rightfully, belonged to him. In the end, Simba does win because he musters up the courage and doesn’t give up. Simba realizes the nature of life.
Life can put us in any situation which might make us think that we are a failure. But if we do not give up and muster up the courage to take that which is rightfully ours, then we win in the end.
HOW TO PRACTICE THE CHANGE
In all the above-desired changes, make sure that the change is brought slowly and with full of love.
Forcing the change or a thought pattern will do no good to the child. He must be shown the benefits that would come about by developing the desired qualities.
Any Human Being is the result of what he reads, watches, thinks and the people he is surrounded with. In today’s era of Social Media, what we watch affects us majorly.
Therefore, it is important that we learn to manage the movies and the series that our children watch or we ourselves watch. Even the social media channels; whom we are listening to, reading, or scrolling about must be managed consciously and carefully.
So the simplest way to bring about the desired change in the child is Thinking of the Opposite; the opposite of the trait that is existing at the moment and requires a re-direction.
SOLUTION 2: POSITIVE THOUGHTS
MANAGE WHAT YOU LISTEN TO
We must manage our mood ourselves. Nobody is coming to save us. We are our own saviors. Therefore, the second solution I recommend is to create a playlist of positive songs to inspire yourself.

Listen to your list of positive songs every morning as you wake up. I am giving you a song below-

SOLUTION 3: PRACTICE POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
HOW TO IMPLEMENT PRACTISING POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS TO BUILD A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
1. Create a list of affirmations or just pick up the affirmation cards that I have researched especially for this purpose (listed below)
2. Every morning, as you get up and make your tea or coffee/ go for a walk/ whatever you do first in the morning. Follow the first task of your morning routine with the list of these positive affirmations. Don’t worry about the timing at which you wake up, that doesn’t matter in here. Just practice this for 10 days first and every single day speaks out these affirmations as you wake up and see the difference in your mood and emotions.
3. Stand in front of the mirror and speak these affirmations. You will see the confidence grow in you and that difference slowly coming up starting on at least the 3rd or the 5th day.
4. Continue this habit for 10 days first, even if you are not in the mood to speak someday. Once you have practiced it for 10 days and seen a bit of change coming in, just continue this for another 20 days. If you have never practiced ‘discipline’ in your life then this is the first simplest exercise with which you can start practicing the discipline of saying affirmations or listening to positive songs every day.
5. If some days later you leave the practice and your mood and emotions are negative again; this happens when we have had negative emotions for a longer period of time within us. So it has a tendency to come back until the positive emotions have become more prevalent.
And finally, That’s the nature of the mind. It’s natural for everyone. Understand that you are not alone, everybody goes through such emotions.

SOLUTION 4: CLEAN YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ‘FOLLOWING’ LIST
HOW TO IMPLEMENT THIS AND AVOID NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
Whatever we listen to or watch as we scroll our social media platforms such as Instagram, or Facebook goes straight into our minds whether we want it or not. The thought, the words, the idea has gone into the mind and then it sits there. We just don’t realize how subtly this process takes place.
But here’s the thing. We all know deep within that whatever we watch and listen to creates us who we are.
Just like the food makes our body. In the same way, the ideas and the audio and videos that we watch creates our mindset. What we put in, is what makes our personality. It’s simple cause and effect. Is that difficult to understand?
Now that you know it, just sit for one weekend and unfollow all the accounts that feed negativity or weakness into your mind. Anything or anybody that instigates anger, selfishness, jealousy, or greed you may want to unfollow those accounts.
As I mention greed, you may be having a question about the greed for money. Well, it’s different to learn about money and progress in your job or business and it’s a different thing to run behind money in a way that would give you stress.
Follow those who motivate you but don’t instigate negative emotions or stress in you. For example, you may want to follow Garyvee for social media or start-up hustle. He teaches about money from the experiences of his life and he is excellent at what he does.
You may also want to let go of the people your vibe no longer matches with and connect with those you want to be with or you wish to be like.
We all must work towards raising our vibrations of light and love by improving ourselves continuously in life. That’s the way to lead a positive and happier life.

SOLUTION 5: JUST DO THIS
IF YOU DON’T LIKE YOGA THEN DO THIS TO STOP NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
You can’t go to the Gym or do Yoga?
Then just go for a run on the road early morning or go for a brisk walk.
Running is the best and the quickest way to keep your body in balance (of course if you have any body ailments or you are on medications, kindly consult your doctor first).
I personally have found Running more beneficial for my overall body balance than any other thing. I make it a point to go for a run in the morning before I cook breakfast or do any other work. I would define it as ‘Wow’. Really.
Not only running can manage your health but also your mood for the entire day. This can happen if you start listening to the list of motivational songs that I sent you above as well (if you forgot, download here) every single morning.
As you go for a run or a walk, you send a message to the universe that you love yourself and your body and that you are taking care of it.
You may also start making morning friends and who knows which connections take you where.
For instance, I started going for a morning walk after the pandemic restrictions were removed.
One day, a group of people in a park (who had seen me giving meditations elsewhere) requested me for a meditation session and so I gave a short session to them.
They enjoyed it so much and booked themselves for weekly meditations with me.
I also made some new friends lately while going for my daily walk.
Of course, a lot also depends on where you live.
But even if there’s nobody, hey, there’s so much that mother earth has to offer us.
There are beautiful leaves and flowers and winds and the sun rays and the birds chirping.
How about just a great walk in nature enjoying this beautiful creation of God and thanking him every day for all that we are blessed with?
