Evil Eye in Hindi is called Nazar.

When you say or believe that you are unable to achieve something in life because of someone’s evil eye or nazar, you believe that someone’s bad thought towards you is affecting your success.

While many holy scriptures teach us the truth if we have the right spiritual teacher who could teach us the real interpretation of the same, for explanation here I am going to refer to the Bhagavad Gita and endeavor to provide clarity on this concept.
The Bhagavad Gita is all about the intricacies of a human being’s mind and soul.

Hinduism teaches us that our soul (atma) is more powerful than our mind.

When we believe or say repeatedly that our work is not getting completed because of someone’s nazar, we are basically taking a step forward to making our mind stronger than the soul by giving it excuses or reasons for incompletion of the work by us.

The second important teaching of the Bhagavad Gita is that ‘We are the creators of our own lives and our Karmas (actions) define our lives‘. Goswami Tulsidas ji states ‘Karam Pradhan‘, which means that ‘Karma Is Supreme‘ and our karmas are the sole reason that define our destiny in this life or next.

When a man is unable to fulfill his responsibilities, his mind tries to find reasoning to blame that incompletion of the work onto others. In that, the mind may pick up one of the reasons and may say, ‘that man has an evil eye on me’ or ‘my enemy’s evil eye is not letting me win in life’.

Lord Krishna knew the reasonings of mind and therefore, the entire teaching of the Mahabharata lays stress on the fight between the mind and the soul.

The reason Sri Krishna laid so much stress on winning over the mind and having the courage to take a step forward by performing one’s action without thinking about the results, was the same.

Can Evil Eye Harm You Or Cause Depression?

Nothing can harm you. Believe that your soul is stronger than your mind because it is. Your lack of belief in your own power is you creating and becoming obstacle in your own way.

Just think about this – there are so many celebrities, actors and cricketers becoming successful every day, no evil eye effects them. Then why is it affecting you?

The Creator of this Universe has given atma (soul) to all the living beings and the atma is the same in all living beings. Though it completely depends upon you, whether you consider your atma/soul weaker or stronger than your mind.

When you keep finding and stating reasons that you are unable to achieve something or someone because of some ‘nazar’, then by stating that reason repeatedly you are making your mind stronger than your atma/soul.

EVIL EYE REMOVAL

Perform you Karma. THIS is the sole solution. You may wear many bracelets or rings or any other kind of jewelry but all of that would only help to appease the mind. The real solution to your problem will come only when you perform your action. Like Sri Krishna taught Arjuna to take action while Arjuna’s mind was giving infinite number of excuses of why he shouldn’t fight the war.

This is the simple, easiest and the only remedy that will take you out of the cycle of the so-believed evil eye affecting you. If you wish to become famous, then perform karma of fame. If you wish to have money, then perform actions that would help you earn money.

Example

Say you wish to become an actor, then your karma will be to give more auditions and to improve your acting and networking skills.

If you wish to be a sportsperson like Virat Kohli, then your karma will be to practice playing cricket under the guidance of a good mentor and to take care of you health so you are able to play well. Of course, there will be other actions too that will be a part of your karma. We can brainstorm on that later on.

These are a few meanings/ interpretations that people give to an evil eye emoji and whosoever sends the emoji will have given it his own meaning-
1. this emoji may mean that the sender is saying ,I wish protection for you

3. it may mean that the sender believes that you should protect yourself from someone’s evil eye.
